舞台作品「KUSTE」が、ドイツ・ケムニッツで開催される国際舞台芸術フェスティバル「Theater der Welt 2026」に選出されました。

本作は、国際芸術祭あいち2025にて、Mayunkiki⁺名義で初演された作品です。

Theater der Weltは1981年に創設され、国際演劇協会（ITI）ドイツセンターが主催するフェスティバルで、3年ごとに開催地を変えながら、世界各地の舞台芸術の現在を紹介する国際的なプラットフォームとして知られています。

「KUSTE」は、影絵とマルチチャンネル音響を用いた空間パフォーマンスであり、会場の条件に応じてその構造が最終的に決定される作品です。音と像、身体と空間の関係を再構成しながら、各地で異なる形で立ち上がることを前提としています。

本上演では、現地でのリハーサルおよび空間設計を通じて、作品のさらなる展開を試みます。

“KUSTE” has been selected for Theater der Welt 2026, taking place in Chemnitz, Germany.

The work was originally premiered under the name Mayunkiki⁺ at Aichi Triennale 2025.

Founded in 1981 by the German Centre of the International Theatre Institute (ITI), Theater der

Welt is one of Germany’s major international theatre festivals. Held every three years in a different city, it presents key developments in contemporary performing arts from around the world.

“KUSTE” is a spatial performance combining shadow-play and multi-channel sound, in which the final structure is shaped by the specific conditions of each venue. The work explores the relationship between sound, image, body, and space, and is designed to transform through each presentation context.

For this edition, the piece will be further developed through on-site rehearsal and spatial adaptation. By and starring:
